A year of growth

In fall 2009, I received a olive tree sapling at an ecology rally. I took it home and planted it.

At Christmastime last year, the tree was still small and fragile. I often decorate my houseplants, but it didn't seem like it could withstand more than a little tinsel.

But this year it could withstand a lot more.

I think it needs a new, bigger pot for 2011 to make it really happy.

Hmm. It is beginning to look a little top heavy, but I thought you might be trying to limit its growth by keeping it in a smaller pot.
