What's it like to read Don Quixote de la Mancha out loud in a front of a crowded auditorium in the original Spanish without rehearsal?

I did that for the 14th Annual Continuous Reading of Quixote in Madrid, and I just posted an account of it on the website Amadis of Gaul: http://amadisofgaul.blogspot.com/

As you may now, I'm translating Amadis of Gaul, a medieval novel of chivalry, which is one of the novels that inspired Don Quixote. So it seemed only proper to help read the derivative work – everyone from prisoners to leading politicians was doing it.

Well done! What an amazing event. How beautiful that a great work of literature is honoured like that.
