My Christmas present was a trip to the Alhambra — my husband and I went on Tuesday and Wednesday.

I am so glad to have seen these photos; thank you. The magic and poetry of that name, not to mention its history, has called to me since childhood, but I now know I am not going to see the place in person. So, many thanks to your husband for giving both you and me a Christmas present! I enjoyed wandering through your photos and pretending to be there.
