Who was he talking to?
Jul. 3rd, 2008 03:08 pmYesterday evening I happened to be in the lobby of the Ritz Hotel, Madrid's most posh hotel and one of the hotels hosting delegates to the 19th World Petroleum Congress. I walked past a Texan talking on his cell phone and overheard this:
"Thank you for all your help, Your Excellency, and have a good flight home."
Not the sort of thing you eavesdrop on every day.
Just thought I'd share. It invites speculation.
(What was I doing there? Meeting my brother, who was a delegate, to enjoy the wine and food at a Big Oil hospitality suite. It was nice. But all the people I met had first names, not high-ranking titles.)
