Interesting article! Now I know why my Spanish colleagues think I'm a work-aholic (I eat at my work desk so I can work on my own things like writing or blogging on the computer).

Spain was a culture shock for me coming straight from living in Germany where attitudes and routines are so different. I learned Spanish much quicker here because the Spaniards were willing to talk to me in Spanish, the Germans were so proud at being good at English I never learned.

Spain is much more laid back than Germany. Except about eating at your desk. (I'm drinking a beer at my desk as I write this. Don't tell anyone.)
