A man who lived in Basque Country told this story: One night the terrorists burned down the community center in his little town. It was a small building, and it had been used every afternoon by a group of retired people who came with snacks and drinks and played cards. So that afternoon they brought chairs, tables, snacks and drinks, sat amid the ruins, and played cards.

That's how people functioned. With courage.
